Government surplus can address the needs of the family

As of June 2007 our budget is showing a surplus of $6.4 billion

This government has demonstrated that it is protecting the future of the Canadian family during the 2007 budget, by acknowledging that “Canadians still pay too much tax.”

Following this promise from The New Conservative government the National Family Childcare Association would like to see “Income Splitting” put in place to protect Canadian families from unfair personal and joint taxation laws that are currently in place.

The Library of Parliament estimates the cost of “Income Splitting” for families with children is $1.5 billion annually while others suggest a $5 billion dollar price tag.
The NFCA is not looking for a red tag event tent sale from the Finance department but we are hoping to save for our children’s future just like any parent would.

As of June 2007 our budget is showing a surplus of $6.4 billion

“If the money is there then let’s invest back into our future, our future is our children!”
says Sara Landriault, president of the NFCA.

President of the NFCA is a mother of 3 and wife of one and has over 12 years experience in family budgets.

Pension splitting was a step in the right direction to reduce tax discrimination against single-income families now it is time to step further and show Canadian families that the New Conservative government truly does put family first.

The National Family Childcare Associations is fully recommending that the Finance Department of Canada budgets family “Income Splitting” and finally puts an end to the unfair family tax laws in Canada.
